The 183rd Science and Technology Forum of Chinese Academy of Engineering was held in Harbin on July 13-17, 2014, which focused on the Urban Water Science and related topics. 

The forum invited many well-known scientists of water science, including Glen Daigger, Perry L. McCarty, Willy Verstraete, Ren Nanqi, and Qian Yi and other well-known scholars and experts domestic and international, who shared invaluable instructive and constructive opinions on urban water sustainable utilization and development. 

Professor Wang Aijie and Professor Willy Verstraete hosted the International Symposium on Biomass Resources Recovery during the forum, which focused on the potential resources recovery and recycling using new techniques and methods from wastewater and solid waste.
